Hungary has the second-highest rate of growth of knowledge-intensive occupations in all of Europe, with the number of people working at the most knowledge-intensive firms of the country growing from 321,300 in 2012 to 424,900 in 2019, according to a new report by think tank European Center for Entrepreneurship and Policy Reform.

The European Centre for Entrepreneurship and Policy Reform just released the report The Geography of Europe’s Brain Business Jobs by Dr. Nima Sanandaji and Prof. Stefan Fölster, regarding the percentage of ‘brain business jobs’ in Europe. Hungary ranked well: Budapest occupies the 12th place.

Fully 282 people have registered for the anti-brain drain programme launched a week ago to attract young Hungarians working abroad back home, the economy ministry said. It said it would be accepting an unlimited number of registrations but will select 50 Hungarians who will be offered jobs and support relocating.
